So we went looking for a tool that could help us in setting some structure to the chaos. We wanted something that could help us with:

• Setting up goals with clear task deadlines and expected outcomes that were agreed with the children.
• Automatic daily reminder to the child on the tasks due on the day with the ability to mark the tasks as they are completed. Parents’ ability to track the progress remotely.
• Fun way of completing the assigned tasks to earn Reward Points that gets accumulated to reflect a sense of achievement for the child.
• Parents’ ability to grant Reward Points for achievements that can be part of the set goals. Similarly, the ability to deduct Penalty Points for undesirable behaviour.
• Option for parents to link completion of assigned tasks to budgeted pocket money for the children to make them realise that they need to ‘earn their crust’ rather than demand pocket money as an ‘entitlement’.
